What Do You Think About the Idea That Every Human is Responsible for Their Actions and Will Be Held Accountable After Death?
Adam and Eve made a sin, yet their sincere repentance was met with divine mercy. Allah, in His infinite justice, absolved them, teaching humanity a lesson in accountability and redemption. No soul inherits the transgressions of another, for to burden one with the sins of the past would be the height of injustice.
If a person is free in their actions, do you believe they should also bear the consequences?
Islam declares that every human being is born in a state of purity, free of sin, bearing a natural inclination toward the worship of the One True God. When an individual transgresses, they alone stand accountable, for no soul shall bear the burden of another. This is the divine decree, an undeniable truth that underscores the justice of our Creator.
Islam rejects the concept of "original sin" and clearly affirms that Allah does not require any sacrifice to atone for the sins of humanity.
Sin, forgetfulness, and moral frailty are woven into the human experience, yet they are not beyond redemption. The doors of divine mercy remain perpetually open. Allah, The Constant Forgiver, The Most Merciful, extends His forgiveness to all who turn to Him with sincerity.
If a person sincerely repents, Allah forgives them, for He loves forgiveness and is Most Merciful to His servants. Their sins remain between them and their Lord, there is no need for intermediaries or public confession. Thus, sincere repentance is the path to salvation.
One of the greatest blessings of embracing Islam is Allah’s promise of Paradise to the believers.
Allah, the Almighty, says :
" Race [i.e., compete] toward forgiveness from your Lord and a Garden whose width is like the width of the heavens and earth, prepared for those who believed in Allāh and His messengers."
(Quran 57:21, Surah Al-Hadīd)
Therefore, Islam teaches that every person can attain salvation through sincere worship of Allah. One must believe in Allah, adhere to His commands, and strive to live a righteous life to the best of their ability. This was the message of all prophets, from Adam to Noah, from Moses to Jesus, culminating in the final revelation given to Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
